Who They Are
FARMore WA (formerly SFMA Market Association) is a 501c3 non-profit that supports the vitality of Washington State’s agricultural communities for the lasting life of local food resources, making education public, and equitable food justice. We are proudly partnering with farmers, local businesses, community centers & nonprofits to synergize the relationships between urban & rural neighborhoods in Washington state.
We are affiliated with the Ballard, Madrona, and Wallingford farmers markets - concrete extensions of the farmlands and creative kitchens where makers can assimilate to make a living, support the local economy, and provide equitable access to healthy, affordable, and culturally relevant foods.
Their Mission
ASSISTANCE
Providing direct assistance to farmers and food processors experiencing hardship that can impact agricultural production, including fire, flood, drought, pandemics, broken supply chain, climate change and other emergencies.
EDUCATION
Supporting educational programs for future farmers & enthusiasts by providing a platform to extend curriculum into the community for practical experience, mentorship opportunities & making food education public.
